A basement in Douro Dummer, Ontario, had issues with the basement walls. The Block Foundation walls were bowing in, and it could have caused possible Structural collapse of the foundation. The homeowner did not want further damage to the home and knew they would not be able to sell the house without fixing it. 

They called Clarke Basement Systems to find a fix for this issue. Shane O’Rourke, Luke Haverkort and the Foundation Supportworks team came in and used PowerBrace™ patented foundation wall repair system designed to stabilize failing basement walls and allow for potential straightening over time. They also installed CarbonArmor®; a carbon fibre strap conceived especially for buckling block foundation walls to keep the wall from moving again. This customer saved 10’s of thousands of dollars in common wall and or foundation replacement and preserved the value of the home! 

A home in Greenbank, Ontario had problems with their home's foundation. The basement wall was pushing in, and water was seeping through all the cracks. The customer had the wall dug out and repaired by another company in the past, but the issue, unfortunately, happened again. The customer was worried that the wall was going to cave in if they didn't get it fixed soon! Since the foundation was crumbling, water was seeping in through all the cracks. The customer's flooring and drywall were soaked, and mould was starting to grow.

The customer called Foundation Supportworks of Ontario and booked an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Chris Luke. Chris explained a solution to the customer's problem, and our lead Foreman Shane O'Rourke came out to fix the problem. Our patented Powerbraces™ were installed to permanently stabilize the wall (with a 25-year warranty). The wall now stands perfectly straight, and there is no water seepage.

The customer not only has a solid foundation in their basement but has more reliable space that is healthy living space. They were over the moon with the service, products, and 25-year warranty!

In Bobcaygeon, Ontario, a home was ready to renovate and then sold. During renovations, the current homeowners realized that a significant underlying issue was occurring in the basement. They've noticed that the basement, foundation wall, had started to bow inwards, which, over time, can result in severe foundation damage and even collapse the basement. This isn't something you ignore; continue renovating and selling the home without proper disclosure. With some research from the homeowners, they came across Clarke Basement Systems. 

We managed to send out our experienced and genuine System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, to compose a schematic and get this wall straight again. He suggested our GeoLock™ Wall Anchor and Power Brace wall System provided by Foundation Supportworks of Ontario. These products will not allow the wall to cave in again. Once the estimate was completed, it was time for our installation specialists to come in. On a later day, our installation duo Trevor Bowman and Dustin Biggs arrived at the home to start the work. Our Geo Lock™ Anchors will involve excavating the outside property to place the anchor. Essentially the anchor system has an anchor outside, then a rod connected to it, which runs to the interior lock placed in the inner wall of the basement. From there, the rod is tightened, giving tension to pull the wall the opposite from where it's leaning in from—moving on to our PowerBrace. This system is a metal beam that refuses the wall to tip past it. With a series of these solid beams, the wall will be supported and corrected for many years ahead. The result went smoothly, with Trevor doing the interior work and Dustin excavating outside. Once the work was done, the dirt was put back leveled to the original. Finally, the home is ready for the market!

This home in Harcourt, Ontario, was experiencing a significant amount of water seepage in its basement. The homeowners lived above and had tenants on the lower level of the home so fixing the water damage was crucial to keeping their tenants happy, healthy, and comfortable.

Installation Foreman Dave Jackson and his trusted crew worked on this job by first installing a partial WaterGaurd® drainage system. Next, they installed a new SuperSump® as well as encapsulated the area with our CleanSpace® wall membrane. To finish the job, they installed an IceGaurd® to assure that the discharge line will never clog or freeze.

The customers were relieved that they could move their tenants back in no time, and their investment was saved!
