A home in Toronto, Ontario had water entering through the foundation wall slowly. It was leaking in through the side and front walls making the space in the basement unhealthy and smelly. As most water leaking situations, the family was uncomfortbale and wanted to get it fixed before it got worse.

The homeowner called Clarke Basement Systems and talked to Rob Malcomson, who explained everything that was going to be done to the home. Don Clarke and his team came in and dug out the areas where the water was coming through. They did an entire exterior waterproofing. They installed Liquid rubber on the wall to cover any cracks and leaks, drainage matting on the walls to direct any water away from the home and back into the ground. New weepers were installed on the outside of the home to relieve any pressure against the wall. When they completed the waterproofing they filled in the hole and gave the customer the guarantee there would no longer be leakage. The Basement is now dry, with no water entry!

A home in Toronto, Ontario, had groundwater seepage located in the split basement. The water was coming through cracks in the foundation wall. The basement was finished and there was damage to the walls and flooring previously installed. There was a concern for mold and that the homeowner was loosing living space and with a small child they were concerned about the health effects.

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke to Ron Monk who explained exactly what would need to be done to waterproof the home. Jose Martinez and the team came in and installed a Waterguard around the full perimeter of the walls to capture water and ensure the whole basement stays dry. Water is directed to the Triplesafe Sump System to ensure it is ejected from the home and the basement stays dry all the time. Waterguard ports allow for inspection and service of the system if necessary. The Thermaldry Wall membrane was installed to create a vapor barrier that protects the finished walls installed in front of it and help to reduce relative humidity. The Iceguard was installed to ensure that the basement doesn’t flood if the discharge line becomes blocked or frozen. This waterproofing system provides the customer with a dry basement allowing for the refinishing of the basement. They are able to reclaim the living space and have a healthy dry basement for their child. A dry healthy basement translates into a healthy home.

PolyLevel™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Scarborough home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Call us today to learn more about our proven concrete lifting and leveling techniques.

I am looking for a quote for a foundation repair for my house located in Scarborough (Port Union/Lawrence area). The previous owners had identified small puddles of water that would become evident following large rainfalls. They attributed this to the holes drilled from the deck into the foundation. Since, the basement has been finished with kitchen cabinets at the wall where the penetration would be, so any repairs would have to be done from the outside. It is also important to note that a deck will have to be removed to access this area. I work shift so do not call - but am available at 10AM any day this week. Thanks.

Our home is 15 to 20 years old purchased 5 years ago. There is a vertical crack in the exposed foundation wall in the unfinished furnace room in the basement. We had a building inspection performed as a condition of the purchase and this crack was noted as an issue to be resolved by the seller. The resolution appears to be that the crack was filled and then cemented over. There is evidence of moisture as the cement over the crack is crumbling and feels damp although there is no visible water leaking. We would like to schedule an appointment to have this issued assessed.

We are young parents and this is our first home so we want to make sure it is safe mold free and lasts us. Currently it is best to contact me via email but you can try me by phone... thanks so much look forward to hearing back.

I have water in the middle of the hallway of the basement. Different people give me different solutions. The last person said I need a sump pump installed. Insurance says the problem is outside not inside. A plummer said the water is coming from outside so I need to raise the slope of slab stones in my patio. Others tell me to use drainno, seal off bathroom floor drain. I'm confused and need a good professional to help me out.

20 years in same house, no leaks. Last summer after a heavy rain, some water in basement. This past Monday during rain, we had a lot of water in the basement. House is 50+ years, cinderblock walls. We believe water is coming in one area where the basement wall meets the floor. We also notice an outside crack in the same wall at the other end of the house. Part of basement is unfinished.
