A parking lot in Whitby, Ontario, had a concrete slabs that had sunken substantially on the inside the curb. This was causing many potential trip hazards for visitors to the Center. The Engineering Technician from the Town of Whitby wanted to fix this problem as soon as possible, before someone got hurt.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix the island in the parking lot.  Our team injected PolyLevel foam into the sunken slabs. This lifted the concrete back to its original pour line and stabilized the concrete slab. The trip hazard is no longer existent and the technician is happy know they don't have to worry about it anymore.

A home in Whibty, Ontario had sinking concrete in their backyard. The patio around the pool had sunk a couple inches down and the step above the slab was becoming a trip hazard. This was also a concern because water was draining too close to the house. The customer was worried that water would intrude into the basement and further settling.

The customer took precautions and called Clarke Basement Systems.  Billy McKeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling crew came in and used PolyLevel Injections on the sinking patio by the house. The PolyLevel foam went deep beneath the concrete slab and filled in the voids that were allowing the concrete to sink. Now the customer has a leveled patio and no longer has to worry about water damage to the home.

Concrete repair experts

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Whitby home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse with time, but we can fix it for you!

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam to provide reliable concrete lifting & leveling solutions. Small holes are drilled in the concrete and the expansion of the foam lifts & levels the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, requires larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel.

If your home has cracked concrete steps, pool decks, patios, or other slabs, then NexusPro is the right solution. NexusPro repairs concrete cracks and joints and is ultra-durable, so it will withstand UV rays, extreme weather, and more.

After utilizing our expert concrete repair solutions, consider the powerful concrete sealant, SealantPro. SealantPro further protects your concrete by bonding with it to guard against oil, gasoline, liquids, and other debris. In just one coat, SealantPro extends the life of your concrete by 3 to 5 times overall.

Call us today to learn more about our proven concrete leveling, cracked concrete repair, and concrete sealing techniques.

Job Stories From Whitby, ON
Unreliable Sump System Replaced for THE BEST Sump System Available in Whitby, ON

Stephen S. was sick and tired of coming home to find his Whitby, ON, home’s basement completely submerged in water. Not only was it ruining all his stored items, but damaging the structural integrity of his home! He knew that he had to resolve this issue ASAP and couldn’t put it on the back burner any longer. Stephen researched the top Waterproofing companies in the Durham region  and decided to hire Clarke Basement Systems.

Steve Matthews, System Design Specialist, isolated the water seepage issue in Stephen’s home. He found that there was MASSIVE hydrostatic pressure against the foundation of the home, resulting in water driving into the basement. Normally, a sump pump would be able to keep up with all the water entering the home, but this was not the case. Due to the amount of water entering the basement, the generic home builder sump system could not keep up. Steve Matthews recommended that the customer replace his sump system with the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System.

The TripleSafe™ System keeps your basement dry with triple the protection. Most sump pumps fail because of either a failed pump, a pump that can't handle high volumes of water or power failure. The TripleSafe assures protection from all three-sump pump problems. Dave Jackson, our job foreman, installed the new sump system and noticed the hydrostatic pressure disappear within minutes! He also rerouted the water discharge line to an area farther away from the house, so that water wouldn’t continue to come back in.

There’s no doubt that Stephen can now enjoy a dry, healthy basement, and have peace of mind of knowing it won’t flood again.

Water Seepage No More! Whitby, ON

Brittany O. had water leaking into her Whitby home’s basement every spring thaw. The result was a damp, musty basement with damage to all her items stored down there. Brittany described the situation as “scary” because it was not only compromising the structural integrity of her home but was creating an unhealthy environment for her. She knew that the problem needed to be resolved properly, so she called Clarke Basement Systems.

Chris Luke, one of our System Design Specialists, put a foolproof plan together to resolve the water issue. Dave Jackson, the Foreman on the job, followed Chris’ plan and installed Cleanspace® walling to catch all the water seeping in through the foundation. The water flows to our patented WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain System where the water gets redirected to the SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System. All the water that was coming into the basement gets pumped out and away from the house, and the beautiful white Cleanspace® walls brightened up the basement too!

Since the job is complete, Brittany no longer considers her basement scary. She can now store her belongings down there without any fear of water damage! Her basement is now a healthy space for her and her family.

Concrete Island Causing a Serious Hazard, Whitby, ON

A parking lot in Whitby, Ontario, had a concrete island that had sunken substantially, inside the curb stones. This presented many potential trip hazards for visitors to the Centre, which the Engineering Technician from the Town of Whitby wanted us to alleviate.

The customer called us regarding the area next to the electric car charging station in the Iroquois Center parking lot. Our team came and in injected PolyLevel foam. This lifted the concrete back to its original position and allowed the concrete to be stable for the future. The trip hazard is no longer there and the technician is happy know they don't have to worry about it anymore.

Hello, We have some water damage and mold in our finished basement laundry room. Trying to identify the source and what is required to fix the issue ahead of renovating the space.

1. The pink wall insulation in the basement has absorbed water (coming through porous concrete wall). Because of this, there appear to be mold growth in the pink insulation (in two places). 2. There are three minor wall cracks in the basement. Have not seen water coming through these cracks. But would like to have these cracks repaired. 3. Basement has musty smell. 4. In the cellar, there is a small crack on the concrete ceiling. Some water (enough to wet the concrete) comes in through this crack when it is raining. 4. Cellar has musty smell. Would like to obtain a free quote on what would be your recommendations to fix the above issues and cost. Thanks.

Hello, I have two estimates I'd like 1) I recently had a concrete slab poured and the surface is pitted, uneven and blisters. I am not sure if the repair can be done before it is fully cured, but I'd like a quote to repair surface. 2) I have a pool deck that has uneven concrete and I just learned on this website that it can be raised and I'd like a quote on that. thank you,

There are a couple of spots in our small unfinished basement that have leaked in the past, and we have just noticed what appears to be a bit of mold in some insulation. We would like an estimate on having the mold safely removed, and having the walls sealed in some way to prevent future water intake. (We are planning to have the basement finished in the near future)
Gloria Cres. in Whitby
Hi there, I was wondering if you could send someone out to estimate a small lift (repair) of a crack that has formed in the stamped concrete deck around my pool where it has sunk in one area. We believe the underlying problem (cause) has been addressed so now I'm hoping to lift the section that has fallen slightly to close the crack and I like what I've read about foam-lifting vs. mud jacking. Also, do you also reseal concrete? The entire deck needs to be re-sealed as well so hoping to get that done at the same time and hopefully soon before the hot weather arrives. I'm located in Whitby, near Taunton and Baycliff.
DOVEDALE DR in Whitby
We have a small, very slow leak in the rear corner of our basement (a semi-detatched bungalow). The corner does happen to be where we have a downspout. It's been redirected since our initial problem, however with a very small leak, we want to get this fixed before re-finishing our basement. We're fairly certain we need to waterproof from the exterior. While that is done, we'll be looking to upgrade window wells and enlarge two - three windows. We'd love to get a quote on what the waterproofing would cost. - Taryn
