Musty Smell in Crawl Space Fixed in Orno, ON

A homeowner in Orno, ON, lives in his beloved 1800 century home. During the summer, many families and friends often come and enjoy it with him. That said, the house has a sand crawl space that accumulates a lot of moisture during the summer. So he called us the crawl space experts where System Design Specialist Mark Dougherty introduced our CleanSpace® encapsulation system. The solution was installed by Installation Foreman Dustin Biggs and his crew, transforming the space from a dark, musty area to a bright and clean spot that will keep critters and moisture out for years to come!

From the difference in air quality shortly after the crew finished, Dan was excited to see how much it improved the air in the hotter months.

Crawl Space Repair Fixes Nasty Smell in Beaverton, ON

Retirement on a lake sounds like a dream. This homeowner, who lived in the city their whole life, decided their next chapter should be spent with a lake view and away from the noise. Sadly, when they made the move shortly after, they discovered a nasty smell lingering around. After they called Clarke Basement Systems, Chris Luke inspected the area and devised a solution that would last so they could enjoy their retirement.

Installation professional Lucio Flores went in with his team to give the crawl space exactly what it needed—first, installing a SmartPipe® discharge line around it. Connected to it was a drainage matting to guide the water down into the pipe and then to the sump system. Next, the sump system was replaced with our SmartSump® that fits the crawl space's scale. Lastly, we installed our CleanSpace® vapour membrane to prevent further moisture growth.

Crawl Space SmartSump® Installation in Beaverton, ON

Many homes with crawl spaces are often not equipped with a sump system. At Clarke Basement Systems, we are huge advocates for sumps in your crawl space if your home doesn’t have a basement. This homeowner in Beaverton, Ontario, had just recently moved out of the city, from an apartment to a home on the water for retirement. They made a big transition and were slowly learning about the extra responsibilities of upkeep that came with being a homeowner.

Shortly after moving in, they discovered a musty stench lingering around the home. They called Clarke Basement Systems to see what we could do to help. The first proposal from System Design Specialist Chris Luke suggested installing a SmartSump®! After educating them on the preventative advantages the sump system would bring to their home, they decided it would be a great investment. Installation foreman Lucio Flores and his team installed our SmartSump® system along with our complete crawl space solution to eliminate any more water damage or moisture issues.
