Copy of e-mail that I sent on Dec 3, 2015:Steve and Rob,I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with Dave and his crew. They were very professional and knowledgeable, completed the work on time especially considering the cold and wet weather and paid particular attention to protecting our lawn and gardens, re-setting our garden walls with the new drainage and cleaning up everything. They provided us with excellent service and actually turned the waterproofing projects into a rather pleasant experience. It was also great to have good people working for us that were proud of their work and made sure that we were satisfied customers.

We just went through a really bad flood on our street from Saturday's crazy rainfall and I am happy to say my basement was bone dry! All day-long Saturday all we kept saying was thank god for Clarke Basements. The amount of water coming through the sump pump was insane and our TripleSafe Pump kept up with it.               Question: Why did you hire Clarke Basement Systems? Answer: They were the most informative company around for these types of services and the Salesman Rob was very friendly. He explained everything very thoroughly in terms that I can even understand because I don't have knowledge of these kind of things. the pricing was very fair ! Question: As of right now the waterproofing and crawlspace portion have been done, any comments on that? Answer: Both things were completed better than I expected. I am COMPLETELY satisfied with the work that was done.

Clarke Basement Systems were great. It did take several weeks to get someone out to do the quote, but when Rob came he was great and very knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time explaining things and answering questions both during the visit (which was several times longer than other companies) and afterwards. Even though Clarke Basements has one of the best reputations, their knowledge of the problem (being condensation, not leaks or groundwater) led them to design a solution that was several thousand dollars lower than what the competition quoted. Encapsulation by José and his team was fast and friendly. Looking forward to a mould-free home!

As most water leaking situations, the family was uncomfortbale and wanted to get it fixed before it got worse.

It’s a great feeling when you find that perfect home. You can finally start to settle in and make the place your own, but unfortunately, sometimes there are issues that even new houses are struck with.

Customers in Cavan, Ontario, had recently purchased their first brand new home. Frustrated and unsure of what to do, the new homeowners decided to give Clarke Basement Systems a call.

WaterGuard® was installed below the floor to capture groundwater seepage and help with the hydrostatic pressure. Both of these systems direct the water collected into the SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System. Andrew had used us for waterproofing his cottage, and when he was looking for some proactive peace of mind for his home, he decided to bring us back. He reached out to his System Design Specialist, Rob Malcomson, and he inspected the house.

Rob recommended a sump pump to direct water out of the home and a freeze-proof discharge line to get it there. He already had a sump pump, but it was old and failing, and he feared the worst with the spring thaw right around the corner.

Foreman Lucio Flores and his crew removed the old sump pump and replaced it with our Triplesafe® Sump Pump. Luckily, they contacted Clarke Basement Systems for a free estimate with System Design Specialist, Rob Malcomson.

Once he inspected the home, he knew that the best solution was to encapsulate and insulate the crawlspace completely. Our team would need to remove and dispose of all debris and old insulation, install CleanSpace® liner and CleanSpace® Drainage Matting to existing walls and floors and install ThermalDry® insulation on all exterior walls to joists.

Once the work was complete, the homeowner was ecstatic and relieved knowing that their crawl space was cleaned out, encapsulated and insulated. The homeowner would no longer have to worry about heat loss, rodents, or the health of the home.

We lifted a backyard slab on grade that was sloping towards the house using our PolyLevel® Injection. This helped prevent water entering the basement after a big rainfall. We lifted the slabs nearly 1 inch to ensure they sloped away from the house and then sealed the gap between the slab and the house with NexusPro® Sealant.

Cottage built on bedrock deals with water seepage in Minden, Ontario

One of the best things about cottages is how unique they are. A long stretch from the cookie-cutter suburban homes many of us are used to, cottages embrace their quirks and charm.

A customer in Minden, Ontario, had a beautiful cottage that was built directly on bedrock. Many cottages are built like this, but it leaves them susceptible to seepage where the concrete floor meets the rock. The owner noticed a small, constant amount of water seeping into the basement and decided to give us a call.

Due to the steep incline his foundation was built on, access was limited, and there was no room for a sump pump. System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson worked around these issues and was able to provide the customer with a solution.

Foreman Lucio Flores installed a WaterGuard® perimeter around the floor to catch any water and drain it. The customer already had an interior drain system in place, so Lucio connected the WaterGuard® to it. To give the space a clean look and help keep it dry, Lucio encapsulated the floor and rock with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier.

The customer is ecstatic that his cottage is repaired. He was fearing the worst and is happy that we were able to offer an affordable, non-invasive solution.

Crawl Space Waterproofing in Bracebridge, Ontario

After dealing with a wet crawlspace every spring, and odours every time he opened his cottage, a customer in Bracebridge, Ontario said enough is enough. He reached out to Clarke Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson went to assess the situation. He decided on a waterproofing system that would keep the crawl space dry and prevent moisture for years to come.

Foreman Jose Martinez was tasked with performing the installation. He encapsulated the entire crawl space using CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier, before installing a SmartSump™ Sump Pump. The sump pump has an added battery back-up as well, which ensures any water is taken care of whether the owner is there or not.

To help the crawlspace and cottage stay as warm as possible, vent covers were installed, along with insulation on the exterior walls. As an added measure, we installed an Aprilaire® Dehumidifier to remove any odours and prevent mould growth.

The customer is happy their cottage is finally odour free when opening, and they no longer have to worry about the crawl space flooding before they even get there!
