In addition, we installed an IceGuard® Discharge Line through the rear foundation wall, built with an overflow to prevent any backups caused by a freezing line.
Andrew can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing his basement is protected from the spring thaw. He knows he made the right choice bringing us back for his home and was happy to see Rob again.

A home in Angus, Ontario, had water entering into the basement through one wall persistently over time. The water was causing issues with family storage and was causing concern about mould growth. The customer did not feel comfortable in the basement and was worried about storage space as well as the mould growth creating an unhealthy environment.

CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier was installed on the walls to receive any water entry above the floor line and direct it to the WaterGuard that would then drain towards the installed TripleSafe™ Complete Sump Pump System. The sump pump manages the water volume collected by the entire system. There is a battery backup to assure function continues in case of pump failure or power outage. We removed all of the old damaged walls stained with water and mould, making this space healthy again. The customer now has a dry, healthy basement for storage. One of the best things about cottages is how unique they are. A long stretch from the cookie-cutter suburban homes many of us are used to, cottages embrace their quirks and charm.
A customer in Minden, Ontario, had a beautiful cottage that was built directly on bedrock. Many cottages are built like this, but it leaves them susceptible to seepage where the concrete floor meets the rock. The owner noticed a small, constant amount of water seeping into the basement and decided to give us a call.
Due to the steep incline his foundation was built on, access was limited, and there was no room for a sump pump. System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson worked around these issues and was able to provide the customer with a solution.
Foreman Lucio Flores installed a WaterGuard® perimeter around the floor to catch any water and drain it. The customer already had an interior drain system in place, so Lucio connected the WaterGuard® to it. To give the space a clean look and help keep it dry, Lucio encapsulated the floor and rock with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier.
The customer is ecstatic that his cottage is repaired. He was fearing the worst and is happy that we were able to offer an affordable, non-invasive solution.
After dealing with a wet crawlspace every spring, and odours every time he opened his cottage, a customer in Bracebridge, Ontario said enough is enough. He reached out to Clarke Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson went to assess the situation. He decided on a waterproofing system that would keep the crawl space dry and prevent moisture for years to come.
Foreman Jose Martinez was tasked with performing the installation. He encapsulated the entire crawl space using CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier, before installing a SmartSump™ Sump Pump. The sump pump has an added battery back-up as well, which ensures any water is taken care of whether the owner is there or not.
To help the crawlspace and cottage stay as warm as possible, vent covers were installed, along with insulation on the exterior walls. As an added measure, we installed an Aprilaire® Dehumidifier to remove any odours and prevent mould growth.
The customer is happy their cottage is finally odour free when opening, and they no longer have to worry about the crawl space flooding before they even get there!
These homeowners in Huntsville, ON, were extremely disappointed with their new home. Every rainfall or snow thaw was causing significant water damage to their floors and walls. They knew that to entirely and permanently solve their water seepage issues they would have to waterproof their entire basement.
They were referred to Clarke Basement Systems and had System Design Specialist, Rob Malcomson, inspect their home. He came up with the plan to install all of our guaranteed patented products such as CleanSpace®, WaterGuard®, SuperSump™ Sump Pump and IceGuard® Discharge line to waterproof the entire perimeter of the basement.
With all our patented products installed, the homeowners are relieved and happy to be able to enjoy their home again with their 25-year warranty guarantee.
This homeowner was constantly frustrated with the pooling water in their cottage crawl space in Kapigog Lake. We installed a full encapsulation, which is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve your home and protects from mould and rot. A SmartSump® Premier Sump Pump System and UltraSump® Battery Back-Up was installed so that the crawlspace would stay dry in case of a power outage or pump failures.
