Crawl Space Smell Seeps Through Home in Wiarton, Ontario

The last thing you want to deal with is a bad smell coming from below when you walk into your home. It can be hard to pinpoint and eventually will seep through your entire home.

A customer in Wiarton, Ontario, reached out to Clarke Basement Systems after noticing such a smell. System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson inspected the customer’s crawlspace and designed a system tailored to her needs. She was thrilled to hear the smell would soon be gone.

Foreman ion Sirbu installed CleanSpace® throughout the floor of the crawl space to prevent any moisture and odours from seeping upward. Since water was leaking from the walls, Rob decided ThermalDry® Wall Membrane would be the perfect solution for encapsulating and insulating the crawl space. To deal with the high humidity levels, an Aprilaire® Dehumidifier was also installed.

The customer is delighted with her new crawl space system. She can store items down there again without worry, and her home is smell free.
