Waterguard®, SuperSump, and FloodRing Installed in Caledon Village, ON

A basement perimeter in Caledon Village was experiencing constant moisture, leaving the homeowners worried about potential mold forming. The tricky yet fun part about perimeter waterproofing is the channels that need to be put underneath without invading too much of the existing basement floor. Project Manager Ben Wallis decided to have the installation team put in WaterGuard®, SuperSump® System, and a FloodRing to make sure the basement is waterproofed permanently. The installation team made this happen within two days, which allowed the homeowners to use the basement without any concerns!

Water Pooling on Basement Floor in Caledon Village, ON

Our client was experiencing alarming amounts of water coming into their storeroom located in the basement. With further inspection by our project manager Ben Wallis, he noticed that the basement perimeter had water seeping onto the floor, leaving pools of water. To prevent potential mold growth, our CleanSpace® and WaterGuard® system was installed by Dustin Biggs. With the water completely sealed away and redirected into the sump pump below, the home is permanently waterproof.

Perimeter Drainage System Installed in Caledon, ON

Large home in Caledon, Ontario, had no waterproofing done to it, and the basement had experienced some leaking throughout the whole space. The homeowners needed waterproofing done so that they could complete the basement and not have to worry about the elements coming into the home and disrupting the integrity of the house. A call was made to Clarke Basement Systems to have their basement waterproofed permanently so they could proceed with the renovations. We sent our System Design Specialist, Ben Wallis, to provide a quote and describe what work will be done. He started with the walls where we will apply a wall membrane called CleanSpace to the home where the water from the outside that will come in will trickle down the wall and to the channel we will install. The track that we will install is a perimeter drainage system that pushes all the water from the walls to the sump pump located in the furnace room. We will also replace the sump pump to better the water circulation from the existing water source. Our installation specialist Dave Jackson installed the components to completely waterproof the basement within two days. Usually, the first day is consisted of the jackhammering part, placing the wall membrane, and putting in the piping. The second day is for the final touches before putting the concrete in. Once the basement's concrete is in, the concrete would have to settle for two days and bam! The basement is waterproofed!

Post Fire Basement Waterproofing in Orangeville, ON

Previous customers of Clarke Basement Systems gave us a call years after she hired us for our waterproofing system, explaining that their home had a severe fire. In addition, they were renovating the house and needed help with waterproofing again. System Design Specialist Ben Wallis gave the homeowners a free quote and his expert opinion of what system would suit their home.

Jose Martinez and his trusted crew first placed our WaterGuard® sub-floor drainage system to give water seepage a place to be discharged. Next, they set our vapour barrier, known as the CleanSpace® membrane, around the basement walls. Both systems control moisture and protect the basement from further water seepage. The homeowners confidently resumed their renovations when the crew finished, thanks to CBS!

Bowing Cold Room Walls Threaten Homes Integrity in Toronto, Ontario

Trusting our homes to protect us is essential. We spend a good chunk of our lives at home, and we shouldn’t have to wonder if the building is structurally sound. We like to think that things are always the way they’re supposed to be, but unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

A homeowner in Toronto, Ontario, noticed the walls in his cold room were bowing. The walls supported the concrete front porch, so they play an essential role in supporting the front section of the house. Concerned for the home’s well-being, the customer called Clarke Basement Systems.

System Design Specialist Ron Monk met with the customer and inspected his home. He showed him our products and designed a system to stabilize the cold room permanently.

Foremen Shane O’Rourke and Don Clarke worked hard installing our Powerbrace® System. First, the exterior was excavated to relieve pressure on the walls. Once the exterior is excavated, the walls are pushed back out before PowerBraces® are installed. These braces attach directly to the concrete floor and framing in the ceiling, stabilizing the home and helping to straighten the walls.

The client was extremely satisfied with the job and our team. The walls are secure, and his fears of a collapse have been put to rest.
