Wet Basement Caused by Flooded Backyard in Bracebridge, Ontario

A customer in Bracebridge, Ontario, noticed a pattern. Every time their backyard was soaked, their basement was flooding not long after. Their insurance company had already come in and removed drywall and insulation, but that was only the first step to ensure their basement would stay dry down the road.

They reached out to Clarke Basement Systems, and System Design Specialist Robert Langton met with them. Understanding their problems, Robert designed a waterproofing system that would give the customer the solution they’re looking for.

Foreman Jose Martinez installed a SuperSump® Pump and an UltraSump® Battery Backup, complementing the already installed sump pump. To catch the water as it enters, a WaterGuard® Drain System was installed along the entire perimeter. Living in a colder area with harsh weather, the customer chose an IceGuard® Discharge Line and a heat cable to prevent the risk of freezing.

The customer is happy that they’re basement is waterproofed, and they no longer need to panic every time it rains or thaws.
