Unreliable Sump Pump Upgrade in Ashburn, ON

A home in Ashburn, Ontario had an old sump pump that was outdated, and the homeowners felt that it was unreliable. They were worried it would not do the job of protecting the home from flooding. This problem stopped them from going away or sleeping comfortably at night in case their sump pump failed while they were gone. This worry of the basement flooding was restraining the homeowners from vacationing or relaxing.

They called Clarke Basement Systems and talked to Chris Luke, who explained what we would do to fix the problem. The team came in and installed our TripleSafe™ Complete Sump Pump System in place of the old sump pump, and mounted two IceGuard® Discharge Line Systems on the outside of the home. The TripleSafe™ sump pump gives them three levels of protection and has a backup battery in case of a power outage. The Iceguards protects in the cold winter months, so they do not freeze and back up the system. Now the customer can sleep soundly at night and go away without having to worry about the sump pump failing and their basement flooding.

SuperSump® System Install in Leaskdale, ON

Our customer in Leaskdale, ON, was concerned that their pedestal sump pump system would not be able to prevent a possible flood in the basement since the system did not have battery backup. The homeowner was worried that if there were a power outage, the system would not be able to handle water issues that could happen. The homeowner wanted a more reliable solution for situations like this to protect their newly renovated basement.

After placing a call to Clarke Basement Systems, an appointment was set up with Chris Luke, System Design Specialist. Chris discussed a variety of methods that could deal with potential power outages that could prevent flooding in their basement.

How can Clarke Basement Systems help prevent flooding in a basement during a power outage?

The homeowner was excited to learn that Chris had a solution designed for their situation and booked an installation date. Our foreman, Mark Dougherty, and his team installed the waterproofing system with a battery backup system:

SuperSump® is a premier Pump System with an Airtight Lid

UltraSump® Battery Backup pump keeps the SuperSump working in a power outage

IceGuard® System lets water flow outside to the lawn if the pipe becomes blocked for any reason

Our customer is happy to have a reliable, worry-free sump pump system that will keep working during a power outage and keep water flowing out of the basement regardless of freezing weather conditions or blocked pipes.

New Sump System in Uxbridge, ON

Apart from a BBQ, the word pit is rarely ever used in a positive context. There are a million and one other words you can use like a hole, divot, depression, ditch, etc. But when this customer contacted us complaining about a “pit” on their basement floor, we knew that it couldn’t be good. Initially, the homeowner met with System Design Specialist Chris Luke. He thoroughly and patiently explained how Clarke Basement Systems could offer assistance to fix their specific issue and fill in that pit. After the customer agreed to the proposed systems and techniques, our Installation Specialist team began their crafty work.

Firstly, Dave Jackson and his installation team of skilled specialists safely removed the old, inefficient sump pump and replaced it with our unique TripleSafe® sump pump. Not only was the old sump not efficiently operating, but it also did not have the proper backup systems in place. This means in the event of a power outage or emergency, the pump will cease to operate, and the basement could flood. This incoming water can cause damage to the furnace, electrical components, and other essential utility appliances. Secondly, and finally, the “pit” was filled in back to level. So, the customer killed two birds with one stone and is ecstatic they found a service like Clarke Basement Systems to protect them for years to come.
