Challenge

A multi unit apartment building had been built on a fill soil and was experiencing settling due to the weight of the structure. In order to excavate, rear staircases had to be removed. In addition, existing tenants' expectations for as little inconvenience as possible during the process needed to be met.

Solution

Excavate to footing, remove part of footing so push pier bracket assembly was directly under the wall, and install 51 Model # 288 Push Piers to permanently stabilize the building.
