Foundation Repair Case Studies: 4 GeoLock™ Anchors Save this Home from Collapsing, Caesarea, ON
Challenge
Challenge:
In Caesarea, Ontario, a house had an alarming foundation support issue. The back wall in their basement had started bowing inward to the point that it was pressing on the homeowner's stored items. They wanted to fix the issue before the entire home caved in. A quick call to Clarke Basement Systems, and we were able to schedule our experienced System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, to go to the home to investigate. The ground shifted, forcing the block foundation bow inward.
Solution
Solution:
Chris suggested our GeoLock™ wall anchor system using four anchors to straighten the wall. With a few nods of approval, we got straight to work. Our Installation Specialist, Dustin Biggs, and his team started prepping the lawn for the anchors. Next, Dustin drilled into the foundation and installed the rods connecting them to the outside anchors. Then, it was time to tighten the rod, bringing the plate and anchor together, achieving a 90-degree wall again. The system amazed the homeowners as they'd never seen anything like it. The team completed the installation efficiently without interrupting the family's daily routine.
