Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Water Seepage Leads to Basement Repair in Georgetown, Ontario
Challenge
Home renovations and repairs are inconvenient at best. They’re costly, invasive, but sometimes, they need to be done.
In Georgetown, Ontario, a customer reached out to us to deal with a water seepage problem in their basement. Water was coming in through the floor, and they wanted the issue dealt with so they could use the space again.
After meeting with System Design Specialist Don Clarke, the customer eagerly set up a repair date.
Solution
Foreman Rob Trevisan dug a lateral ditch through the floor and installed our WaterGuard® Drain System. He ran the drain to a TripleSafe® Sump Pump, which includes a battery backup for added security. Lastly, the walls were encapsulated with ThermalDry® Wall Membrane to both seal and insulate the walls.
The customer is thrilled with how efficient and effective our work was. We completed the job in the promised time, and he was back to using the basement the next day.
