Form Tie Crack Soaks Storage Area in Ajax, Ontario

There is a slew of things that can go wrong in our homes. Our dishwasher could leak, a storm could knock off a few shingles, and for some people, a crack in the foundation can lead to a wet mess.

A customer in Ajax, Ontario, had a small landing under their stairs where they would store items. It was a great little storage place for them to utilize, until one day they came down to find their belongings soaked. A crack had formed in the foundation wall, and water was seeping in. Concerned for the worst, they reached out to Clarke Basement Systems.

System Design Specialist Chris Luke met with the anxious customer and addressed his concerns. The customer was thrilled that we had the perfect solution to his problem, and Foreman Mark Dougherty was sent to repair the crack.

Mark used our FlexiSpan® Crack Repair System to seal the crack, starting with several injections into the crack. He sealed the outside and created a drain in the concrete floor, giving water an easy way to seep back into the ground.

The customer is happy that he no longer has to worry about his belongings getting wet. His floor is dry for good, and he can finally walk into his basement wearing socks again!
