Waterproofing a Barrie, ON, Basement

A customer in Barrie, Ontario, had plans to turn a terrific garage space into a "man cave." Due to persistent water entry, finishing the garage was not an option until the water issues got solved. The customer contacted Clarke Basement Systems to fix the water issues. We came in and installed a WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain along the two exterior walls, relieving pressure from beneath the floor. ThermalDry® wall membrane was installed above the drain, assuring that any water entering from above through cracks would be in the system. A SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System was then installed, in a convenient location, to handle the volume of water collected by the system. A creative buried discharge was installed at the side of the home, keeping the walking path free of obstructions. This space is now waterproofed and warrantied for the future "man cave" plans. The walls and floors can now be finished knowing the investment is protected moving forward.
