Water Causing Structural Damage, Georgian Bluffs, ON

Jen called into Clarke Basement Systems since there was continuous water seepage in their basement. This affected the customer’s home because over time it was beginning to cause structural damage to the foundation. The constant pressure being placed on the walls by unresolved water issues was leading the concrete block wall to crack. They were also starting to see some type of growth on the walls. The standing water in their basement caused damage to their personal items, such as clothes, furniture, and electronics. All of which are very costly to replace. This affected their living situation because once they started to notice mold growth in the basement they were scared to go down there. This forced them to nearly write off the use of the basement entirely. In fact, Jen mentioned to Logan Watson, our System Design Specialist, that she had literally kept the door to the basement closed for months at a time unless she absolutely had to go down there. This caused the customer and family members to be very anxious and stressed as they thought waterproofing repairs would also be a huge financial burden in these tougher times. Jen was most affected by this because she works from home and when she needs to go down into the basement for something it is a constant reminder of this nightmare they are dealing with all the time. 

Once the work was completed by Jose Martinez and Trevor Bowman, the customers were able to let out a big sigh of relief. They felt a weight lifted off their shoulders and were relieved that their home was now dry and healthy. This changed their situation for the better because they can now have their basement back. They had been storing piles of personal belongings upstairs throughout this entire ordeal. Now they can get full access of their home back.
