Flooding in Finished Basement, Alliston ON

Jeff was in distress and called Clarke Basement Systems to get connected with our System Design Specialist, Logan Watson. His fully finished and furnished basement with two bedrooms and a laundry room had a major flood. Although he received cheaper quotes from other companies offering to solve his wet basement problems “tomorrow,” Jeff was so confident in our approach and systems that he said, “I’d rather wait for the best and only do this project once Logan.” Due to this water seepage problem, the customer lost near everything that was in the basement. From clothes to couches to beds, it was all ruined. He was planning on having his daughter move back home from college in the summer but had to put a hold on those plans quickly. Since he had significant amounts of water coming into the basement, it became like a part-time job for him to keep it from becoming an indoor swimming pool. This was affecting the customer’s daily life because instead of spending his time after work relaxing, he was mopping up water and desperately attempting to salvage whatever was left of his personal belongings. This was very frustrating for Jeff because he was looking forward to welcoming his daughter home with open arms, but instead he needed to help her find somewhere else to stay. This caused a financial burden for him also, not just to find another place for his daughter to stay, but now this unexpected cost to fix that water problem.

Once we completed this project for Jeff, he was so relieved. He was very hesitant in proceeding with the work as he was warned by friends that this was too much water for just any company to handle. He was very involved in the project from start to finish and said that by day 2 of the install he trusted our crew enough to just let them do their thing. Now, Jeff could start working on restoring his basement and in time to welcome home his daughter from college before her semester ended! He went on to write us a great review and sent Logan an email telling him to pass along the message to everyone involved in the process that we are the best contractors he has ever hired.
