We contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling due to severely cracked and sunken garage floor cement pads in our recently purchased house. They sent Mark (of Clarke Basement Systems) for an onsite visit to survey the damage and determine the next steps. Almost immediately after we entered the garage to survey the damage Mark noticed what appeared to be a crack in our foundation wall. If this were an actual crack, Mark suggested that we should stabilize the foundation before we proceeded with the floor leveling to prevent further sinking/cracking. We feel grateful for Mark's experience, expertise, and candor as we considered our options. We feel we made a wise and safe decision to proceed with the foundation stabilization, and not to ignore the possible foundation issue by proceeding with the floor leveling only. Mark showed us the cost breakdown for both processes, and said we'd be able to avoid the foundation stabilization if the excavation of the area along the foundation wall indicated there was no crack. If the stabilization was not needed, the cost difference was negligible, but we'd have peace of mind knowing there was no issue with the foundation wall. Thanks for your great support, Mark, we are looking forward to having this work completed.
