The before
When renovating, the homeowners had to stop when they found the excess moisture coming from this area in particular.
To the old sump
The trench along the edge of the room connects to the sump pump on the other side. The current sump needs to be replaced by a more energy-efficient and strong sump pump.
Forming the trench
Jack hammered a trench 6-8 inches away from the wall to apply our perimeter drainage system.
Goodbye old sump
Time for our new SuperSump® to be installed and have all moisture deposited out and away from the home.
Cleaning things up
CleanSpace® installed, now it's time to put in our WaterGuard®.
Super!
The SuperSump is installed and all connected. Now it's time for the surrounding concrete to cure.
Trench Drain
A trench drain was installed at the doorway that is just off the stairs leading outside. This drain will collect any water that comes from the outside, which will then make its way through the WaterGuard®, into the sump, and back outside, away from the home.
Moving outside
The IceGuard® outside will prevent the water from travelling through the discharge line to freeze. Directly connected to the SuperSump®.
Final
The final product of the corner with our CleanSpace® applied to the walls, and the WaterGuard® underneath the smooth concrete to channel all water to the new sump.
