Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Moisture issue in the basement in North Cold Water, ON
Challenge
A previous client purchased a 20 year old house that was later found to have moisture penetration issues. This was to be his "forever home" and he wanted to ensure there is no chance of water damage to the basement and the new finished walls. The challenge was that there was an existing floor heating system, and new additions were to be built onto the current foundation.
Solution
As the client was well aware from the previous work we had done on his last home, the WaterGuard system is a complete and permanent solution to ground water penetration. He agreed that removing the in-floor heating was needed to ensure the system could be installed. After the additions were built, WaterGuard was installed before concrete floor was put in, providing the same permanent protection in the new section of the basement.
