A customer in Peterborough, Ontario, reached out to Clarke Basement Systems after noticing cracking throughout his basement floor and walls. Upon inspection from System Design Specialist Chris Luke, it was determined the entire foundation had settled and would need to be stabilized.
Solution
Foreman Dave Jackson and his crew started by drilling helical piers down into the bedrock below at a torque rating of 18,000 ft. / lbs. The piers were bracketed to the home’s foundation after being drilled down to 30-ft. Addition piers at a depth of 20-ft were used to stabilize the settling concrete floor.
