Annual Company Breakfast 2019
A company is more than just a collection of employees. It’s a team of people working together to achieve a like-minded goal. With all the work that goes on every day at Clarke Basement Systems, it’s important to stop sometimes and enjoy the little things. In this case, that was our annual company breakfast!
Each September, we gather to enjoy a delicious breakfast as a thank you to our hard-working staff. It's the perfect opportunity to introduce new employees, enjoy each other's company, and recap things that have been going on. It's also an excellent opportunity to mingle with the different company departments and get to know people you may not see every day.
Our caterers, Enzo & Miguel, arrived bright and early to get breakfast ready. Well, it wasn’t that bright, considering it was about 4 am, but it was a lovely September morning none the less. Enzo’s dog Pastore tagged along as well, although we think he was more interested in eating the food than making it. Enzo & Miguel worked hard making scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and providing us with a selection of bagels, muffins, coffee and other tasty treats!
This year we had several things to be proud of and showcase at our breakfast. Clarke Basement Systems was honoured to win two awards at this year’s Contractor Nation Live event in Connecticut. We had the 42nd highest sales of the past year out of hundreds of companies across North America, and we were the top dealer in Canada! We’re very proud of our team’s hard work to help us get where we are, and we’re looking forward to doing it again next year.
Some new faces have also been stirring around the office in recent months. Kim & Sam joined our Call Centre Team at the start of summer, joining Audrey and offering the best customer service in the industry. From the Canadian Concrete Leveling side, Greg & Mark joined our Installation Team, working alongside father/son duo Bill & Kyle. With our company continually growing, we were happy to have Ryan, Alex and Kayton join our Sales Team. Last but not least, and to keep everyone slightly confused, our new Marketing Assistant Dan, aka DK, joined the other Dan in the Marketing Department.
We ate, mingled, drank coffee, played a few games of cornhole, and ate some more! As the morning came to an end and we headed back to our day to day jobs, we reflected on the past year and looked forward to the year to come. It was a great company breakfast enjoyed by all in attendance, and just a small token of appreciation we have for our fantastic team. Thank you for a great year and a huge thank you to Enzo, Miguel and Pastore for keeping us full!
