Maple Syrup Tapping

 Spring is right around the corner and since all the snow is melted that means it’s that time of year again! That’s right, maple syrup time! We start tapping our beautiful maple trees around this time of year located right here on our property! 

 The property has over 30 trees maple trees that can produce maple sap. This is an annual reoccurrence at Clarke Basement Systems. We begin harvesting by tapping 2 “inches deep into the tree trunk and inserting a sap spout. From there we add a drain so that the sap can follow down into a covered bucket. On warm days the sap flows freely into the bucket.

When the final product is done we love to hand out samples to the team at Clarke Basement System’s as well as our valued customers. Can’t wait for everyone to try our maple syrup!
