Since the building is a public office, there was a high amount of traffic with clients coming and going regularly, that were complaining of strong odours and feeling ill.
How Clarke Basement Systems permanently fixed our customers water seepage issue?
After examining the basement Steve Matthews, System Design Specialist, was able to provide a solution for their water seepage issue. Jose, Foreman, and his crew installed:
Our customer is thrilled and happy with the work completed and just over one night the building already smelled a hundred times better. The basement can be used to store records and documents safely without risk of damages. The building is now healthy and comfortable for all of the employee's and clients.
Basement windows are easy entry points for water to seep into your home, and if your window is not protected properly, water can cause damage to the exterior and interior of your home. This is exactly what had happened to our customer in Lindsay, Ontario. They became so frustrated with the amount of water leaking into their home. They wanted a permanent solution.
After speaking with our Call Centre over the phone, an appointment was then set up with Rob Malcomson, System Design Specialist. Rob assessed the area of concern and provided our customer with a solution for the water seepage issue. Owner Don Clarke, installed a custom wood window well on one window and placed galvanized window wells on the rest. The team began the work by excavating the exterior of the home and installing a liquid rubber and drainage matting system to the foundation to waterproof the exterior of the house.
Our customer is relieved to have a fully waterproofed exterior protecting the home from future rainfalls. The systems repel water from entering the home, and the window wells block water from pooling near the window while adding a safe exit in case of emergency.
A customer in Lindsay, Ontario, called our company regarding an issue located in the basement of their parent’s home. The son of the homeowners was concerned about their health due to the amount of water entering the home over a long period of time. It had started to cause mold growth and was leaving water stains. Since the family was contemplating selling the home in the near future, they wanted the problem to be fixed permanently.
Rob Malcomson, System Design Specialist, advised our customer with what was needed in order to waterproof their basement and resolve the mold issue. The systems that were installed by Lucio F and his team were:
Our customer was very satisfied with our extremely professional team. The foreman kept the customers informed during the whole process, as well as they kept a tidy and clean workspace.
The family was very pleased with the condition of their newly waterproofed basement. There was already had a major downpour and the basement stayed dry.
After 26 years of protection, Lindsay, ON homeowner Brian M. found that his basement was taking in water. After trying to find the problem for themselves, Brian and his wife decided to contact a professional to assess their basement and sump pump system. Brian was soon redirected to Clarke Basement Systems, who sent out a representative shortly thereafter to meet Brian at his home.
Waterproofing specialist Steve Matthews met with Brian to go over possible solutions to his problem. After a careful analysis of Brian’s basement and sump pump system, Steve recommended that it was time for change. Steve recommended swapping out Brian’s old sump pump system for the UltraSump sump pump. The UltraSump is not only a reliable sump pump by itself, but it also comes with a built in backup battery to allow drainage even during a power outage. For accommodating the walls, Steve recommended the FlexiSpan wall sealant system. Unlike traditional fixes such as hydraulic cement, FlexiSpan does not dry up or crack over time. Additionally, FlexiSpan bends and stretches with the natural movements of the foundation walls ensuring protection throughout the years to come.
Steve called in primary foreman Fitz Wilks and his crew to install the waterproofing products. With the products at their highest potential, the outside elements are no longer a threat to Brian’s basement and it will stay dry and risk free!
When Lindsay, ON homeowner Allan F. found cracks around his basement windows which were letting water in, he knew that he wanted professional assistance to come out and evaluate the severity of the problem. He decided to contact Clarke Basement Systems after seeing them at home shows throughout the area.
Soon after, Clarke sent out waterproofing representative Steve Matthews to inspect Allan’s basement. What he found was that the cracks were not only allowing water into the basement, but were also growing at an alarming rate. Steve highly recommended to Allan that the cracks be repaired immediately before extensive damage happened. Steve proposed that Allan have FlexiSpan installed along the cracks. FlexiSpan is a polyurethane polymer wall sealant that has the unique ability to bend, move, and stretch with the naturally moving foundation wall. Unlike traditional sealants such as hydraulic cement or other epoxies, FlexiSpan will not dry up or crack, ensuring long lasting results. After explaining to Allan the process that will be applied, Steve called in primary foreman Fitz Wilks and his crew to install the FlexiSpan wall sealant.
With the FlexiSpan installed, Allan’s home will be safer than ever and thanks to the professionals at Clarke Basement Systems, Allan's home will stay dry for years to come!
