Sump Pumps Case Studies: Sump Pump Upgrade, Toronto, ON
Challenge
The homeowner had a single sump pump that was originally installed when the home was built. He was concerned about pump failure and power loss to the home. The customer wanted to be proactive in case of of flooding or water leakage and did not want to deal with consequences after they had renovated the basement.
Solution
We upgraded the primary pump to an M53 1.3 HP cast iron submersible pump with a CleanPump Stand to keep it out of any silt that may come in with the water. The UltraSump backup sump was added, complete with the PowerPak which includes a 120 amp hour battery and charging/indicator. The Iceguard discharge line was also installed to protect against possible flooding in the event the discharge ever froze or became blocked.
