We lifted a backyard slab on grade that was sloping towards the house using our PolyLevel® Injection. This helped prevent water entering the basement after a big rainfall. We lifted the slabs nearly 1 inch to ensure they sloped away from the house and then sealed the gap between the slab and the house with NexusPro® Sealant.

Basement keeps getting damp and sometimes water noticed gutter spout damaged and water must of been going straight down against basement wall so I know eavestrough problematic but perhaps there are cracks? I want my basement bone dry because I want to drywall and put tile/flooring down and make it livable space that is definitely nuit prone to flooding (which occurred at spring thaw last year and I did not immediately notice and lots of fabric paper based and particleboard furniture stuff got smelly and/or damaged).it needs to. E looked at and perhaps from the outside sources removed from side of house see if there are potential cracks.

Hi. This is a cottage we own in Wasaga Beach. We just purchased about a month ago. On first inspection we noticed how clean and dry the crawl space looked. It was full of clean sand and everything looks and smells mold free. The furnace and hot water tank looks rust free. The block foundation has rigid foam on it and the above flooring has no insulation underneath. On humid summer days when there is little air flow a musty smell comes from the crawl space. Can't say it smells rotten just old. Not sure I need a vapor barrier or what ?

Half of our cottage area (a very old addition by previous owner of about 700 sq. ft.) is supported by concrete blocks and shims which have sunk and tilted, , and part of one foundation wall has shifted badly.
