A home in Orillia, Ontario, had water entering into the basement for an extended period. The water was causing the basement to be unusable, smelly, and ruined the interior walls & floor. The homeowner did not feel comfortable leaving home to go out of town, in case the old sump pump failed again.

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke to Rob Malcomson, who explained the work. Lucio Flores and the team came in and installed a WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain, SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System, ThemalDry® Wall Membrane, and a Double Pump System. The ThermalDry® wall membrane captures all the moisture and water from the walls and directs it into the installed Watergaurd. The WaterGuard® then directs the water into the SuperSump® to handle the volume.  We established a Double Pump system in a different location due to the high amount of water entering the home. 

The waterproofing systems allow the customer to have a peace of mind that the home will stay dry if they leave town. They also can use the space without worrying about water damage.

A home in Cumberland Beach, Ontario, had a block wall failure causing the crawlspace to become unhealthy. The wall needed stabilization to avoid the water seepage and keep the house stable. With the constant moisture in the area, it was causing rot, mould and odour. Over time with the pooling of water, it was causing the home value to decrease and ruining the rest of the home slowly. 

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems, and Rob Malcomson told them the process of our solution. Don Clarke and the team came in and installed CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier, drainage matting, ThermalDry® insulation, TripleSafe™ with UltraSump® Battery Back-Up and GeoLock™ wall anchors. Thermaldry® R20 installed on all exterior walls to collect water and direct it to the CleanSpace® and drainage matting installed on soil floors. The Triplesafe sump pump was connected in a low spot located in the crawlspace to collect any water and push it out away from the house. GeoLock™ wall anchors mounted on exterior walls for stabilization.

The customer is extremely satisfied with the job. The home's value has been saved, and the health of the house has significantly improved.  The customer has a Peace of mind with our warranty as well.

Hello, I have purchase the property specified in the form, and will be taking possession shortly. The property has a rectangular crawlspace with windows on both sides, good clearance, and approximately 1,000 sq ft of space. We're looking to potentially encapsulate, and also looking towards installing a dehumidifier. It currently houses the furnace, but we'd like to bring the hot water heater out of the house and into the crawlspace, as well as potentially move the electrical panel into the crawl space.
