A customer in Ramara, Ontario, was fed up with her wet basement worries. She had a nice basement space, but it was unusable due to water leaking through the floor and wall joint. Her family tried and tried to make the area work, but despite their efforts, the basement remained empty. They were starting to become concerned about mould issues and drywall damage. They wanted to preserve their investment and start utilizing their space, so they turned to Clarke Basement Systems.
System Design Specialist Rob Malcomson is very familiar with this kind of situation. He understood what they were going through and walked them through their options. The customer decided on a waterproof system and set up a day for Foreman Jose Martinez to install the products.
Jose installed a WaterGuard® French Drain System, which catches water below the wall and floor joints. To waterproof the areas above the floor, the entire basement was encapsulated with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier. The customer already had a sump pump installed, but we updated it with a new liner and motor. To complete the system, an IceGuard® Discharge Line was installed for drainage and to prevent freezing.
With their basement finally dry, the customer can breathe a sigh of relief. They have a transferrable 25-year warranty, and their investment is protected for years to come. A happy and dry customer!
