A homeowner living in Cannington, Ontario had an issue located in their basement. The foundation along the perimeter of the home had started to crack in various places causing water to enter the house. Our customer was worried the cracks would get worse over a while, which would cause even more water to drain into the area and damage stored items.

 Chris Luke, an Installation Design Specialist, and Foreman Shane O’Rourke were assigned to the job. They used our FlexiSpan® Wall Crack Repair System to fix the problem. Unlike hydraulic adhesives and some epoxies, it adapts with the foundation wall causing it never to dry or crack again! Since concrete walls are known for expanding due to warmer weather and shrinking with the cold, it is a great permanent solution!

 The customer was delighted with the team’s work! The space in the basement was now dry and would be able to adapt to the changing temperatures for many years to come.

In Cannington, Ontario, a basement laundry room had a washer on the floor. How could that be? There appeared to be a crack in the foundation's wall causing water to leak on the floor. Clarke Basement Systems was called to fix this problem permanently. System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, arrived at the home to look at the crack. Thankfully with our products, no waterproofing issue can't be fixed. Chris gave the homeowners a plan as to how he was going to tackle the work. The homeowners seemed delighted, one for the efficiency it would be and two for knowing that the basement would be dry permanently. 

 

On installation day, our Service Technician, Ali Fereidouni, started by making a drain well at the floor-to-wall joint so water could funnel through our FlexiSpan®. It directs water to the dry well and not inside the home. Next, Ali applied the FlexiSpan®, which allows the walls to shift but channel water down the side of the wall and ends up in the sump. The FlexiSpan® has then sealed away not to interrupt the walls form and make the wall flush. Now the homeowners have a dry basement. Leave the washing to the machines.

Wet Basement Meant They Couldn't Get Their Mortgage Approved, Cannington, ON

A home in Cannington, ON, had an awful problem with their basement! The basement was always wet and water was constantly flooding in. The customer was trying to get approval for a mortgage, but unfortunately could not because of the condition of their basement. The customer couldn't even store anything downstairs or water would ruin it!

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems to assess the issue then fix the problem. System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, went to the customer’s home to help diagnose the problem. He confirmed that the block foundation walls showed signs of leaking and water seepage. He then put a plan together to fix the issue.

Foreman, Lucio Flores, went out to the customer’s home and installed ThermalDry Wall to trap the water and funnel it down to the WaterGuard® basement waterproofing system which then drained water to the SuperSump® system to pump the water out of the home. To prevent the discharge lines from freezing, he also installed an IceGuard® system to ensure everything would work even in extremely cold temperatures. 

The customer now has a clean, livable, dry living space in their basement. They were also approved for the mortgage! In addition, the transferable 25-year warranty on our full perimeter system added extra peace of mind as well.
