Outside Bowing Wall Repair in Bolton, ON

A home in Bolton, Ontario had a problem with the rear basement wall. The wall had a large horizontal crack, and it was beginning to bow inwards also causing water to leak in. The client was concerned about the structural integrity of the wall and did not want the problem to get worse. The continued bowing of the wall could lead to it collapsing into the basement. The secondary concern was the effect it could have on the resale value should the home be sold.

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems and spoke to Ron Monk, our sales rep. He explained what he needed and soon after, Don Clarke and the Foundation Supportworks team came in to fix the problem. They used GeoLock™ Wall anchors with Liquid Rubber on the exterior. GeoLock Wall Anchors w used which first stabilized the wall to prevent further bowing and secondly allowed for the wall to straighten Liquid Rubber was applied to the exterior to seal the wall. They installed Anchors in the yard about 12 feet from the house, and the anchor rods fastened to them. The client was relieved to know that further and costly damage to the home was averted and it came with a transferable warranty.
