Foundation Repair for Bowing Basement Walls in Bobcaygeon, ON

In Bobcaygeon, Ontario, a home was ready to renovate and then sold. During renovations, the current homeowners realized that a significant underlying issue was occurring in the basement. They've noticed that the basement, foundation wall, had started to bow inwards, which, over time, can result in severe foundation damage and even collapse the basement. This isn't something you ignore; continue renovating and selling the home without proper disclosure. With some research from the homeowners, they came across Clarke Basement Systems. 

We managed to send out our experienced and genuine System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, to compose a schematic and get this wall straight again. He suggested our GeoLock™ Wall Anchor and Power Brace wall System provided by Foundation Supportworks of Ontario. These products will not allow the wall to cave in again. Once the estimate was completed, it was time for our installation specialists to come in. On a later day, our installation duo Trevor Bowman and Dustin Biggs arrived at the home to start the work. Our Geo Lock™ Anchors will involve excavating the outside property to place the anchor. Essentially the anchor system has an anchor outside, then a rod connected to it, which runs to the interior lock placed in the inner wall of the basement. From there, the rod is tightened, giving tension to pull the wall the opposite from where it's leaning in from—moving on to our PowerBrace. This system is a metal beam that refuses the wall to tip past it. With a series of these solid beams, the wall will be supported and corrected for many years ahead. The result went smoothly, with Trevor doing the interior work and Dustin excavating outside. Once the work was done, the dirt was put back leveled to the original. Finally, the home is ready for the market!
