  We had a propane furnace and generator installed this summer in the crawl space of our cottage. Our crawl space has a dirt floor. Once the vents were cut into the floors the musty, damp smell started to come up through the vents. We remembered talking to somebody from Clarke Basement Systems at the Cottage Life Show a couple of years ago about encapsulating a crawl space. We looked them up on the internet and requested information and a meeting to see what could be done. After going over the information and meeting up with Robert we booked our installation on the spot. Once our job was booked we received follow-up confirmations. When our installers Lucio, Pedro and Adam arrived Monday morning I was immediately impressed with their professionalism. Lucio and I went over what was going to be done while Adam and Pedro got right to organizing and clearing out the area they were going to be working. Throughout the day I was made aware of what they were doing and asked if I had any concerns. When they were done for the day the area was left clean. They arrived promptly on Tuesday to finish up. When done I was asked to walk around the area with them and make sure I was happy with the job. Any concerns I had were dealt with right away. I have already noticed the musty, damp smell is gone upstairs in the cottage. I would recommend Clarke Basement Systems. It was a positive experience right from the beginning to the end.

We have recently had some work done by Clarke Basement Systems. We needed to encapsulate our approx' 400 sq ft dirt basement area, as it was cold, damp, and producing a haven for mood and dust mites.    We also needed to improve our sump pump system, as we travel and we wanted piece of mind that our home wouldn't flood when we are away.    Further to that, our first floor had a terrible sag at approx' 1 inch every 10 feet. We were worried about damage to the foundation and the floor becoming unsafe.   I called Clarke and set up an appointment with Ryan. He arrived on date and time as promised. We went over our concerns and requirements, providing ease of mind long term solutions.   We decided on beamed support, along with 8 support jacks that would not only solidify the floor but also reduce the sag.   I needed to get it all done a bit sooner than Clarke's current time frame. Ryan worked to find a time slot that would meet our requirements.   The team showed up as expected on the day and ready to go. Dave, the supervisor on the job, along with Brian and Paul were just absolutely fantastic throughout the process. Any questions or comments I had, they took the time to explain and make us feel we were in good hands.   It was scheduled to possibly be a 5 day job but Dave, Brian, and Paul completed everything in 3 days.   They also reduced the 8 jacks to 6, thus saving money on the overall costs.   Once completed, Dave and I checked the floor results and I couldn't believe that we improved the floor sag by about 40%. We will continue to tighten the jacks over the next 6 months to improve it even more.    The crew were very friendly and cleaned up throughout.    In closing, we couldn't be happier with our choice of the Clarke team. We now have a totally transformed useless dirt space to a clean, dry and safe storage area Thank you,

We badly needed crawlspace repair to remediate and inhibit rodent access. Dustin and Andrew were fantastic. Hard working and professional - you could tell they took pride in their work and wanted to get the job done right. They listened to my objectives as the client and definitely went the extra mile. I am a repeat customer of Clarke Basement Systems. Approximately 14 years ago I had them install a Cleanspace Encapsulation membrane in my cold room. It was great. No more water leakage and musty odours. But after last winter's ice storm, the membrane came loose in one corner of the cold room. I also had 2 tie rod hole foundation water leaks on the other side of my basement. The service technician, Brendan, reattached the membrane to the wall and double-checked the other walls to make sure the membrane was secure. I have to say it looks even better than the 1st day it was installed. He also sealed the tie rod holes. It rained heavily two days later and no water leakage. I found both the sales representative, Ben, and the service technician, Brendan, very professional, friendly and efficient and they took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this company.
