Crawl Space Repair Case Studies: Boshkung Lake Crawlspace Nightmare, in Algonquin Highlands, ON
Challenge
Contractor call to have us come out to inspect a crawlspace that had soft/rotten floor joist and high humidity. After inspection it was found that the cottage lack any kind of insulation in the crawlspace. The humidity levels were well over 75% and the whole crawlspace was suffering from severe mold and rotten floor joist.
Solution
The solution for this cottage was first to control the ground water seepage and installing a SmartSump with a PowerPark UltraSump. Then control the earths moisture by installing drainage matting and CleanSpace. Third the air was conditioned with the CX SaniDry CrawlSpace Air and Dehumidification System and last to save energy by installing TerraBlock Flexible insulation on the floor of the Crawlspace. The SilverGlow insulation panels on the walls and lastly to Spryfoam the rim joist.
