The stiff sealant used would crack again once it shifted
A small piece of drain surrounded by stone catches any additional water that leaks down from the crack
Chris knew he was stuck not using the space for much until he sealed the cracks to keep water out
With a warrantied solution for keeping water out Chris is happy to start utilizing the space
Bringing in two companies for the same repair is frustrating, but when both of those repairs fail, you’re left not knowing what to do.
Chris in Ajax, Ontario, was dealing with two cracks in his foundation. These gaps were letting water leak into the space, and he wanted a permanent solution. Two companies had tried to repair the leaks with rigid caulking, but it wasn’t until he reached out to Clarke Basement Systems that he found a permanent solution.
System Design Specialist Mark Dougherty met with Chris and inspected the failed repairs. Mark recommended our FlexiSpan® Crack Repair System, and our Production Department booked a date for the installation.
Foreman Lucio Flores injected a durable yet flexible sealant into the crack and over the outside. He also dug a small drain in the floor in case of any further cracking before pouring a small amount of new concrete to smooth out the floor.
Chris is thrilled to have his leaks repaired finally. He wishes he called Clarke Basement Systems right away, but he’s glad to have found us in the end.
