The worst spot for seeping was the corner directly behind the equipment
We encapsulated the area and installed our WaterGuard® Drain System at the footing to guide any water away from the equipment and into the groundwater
CleanSpace® brightens up the room while providing a watertight seal between the bare foundation wall and the room
Instead of a traditional sump system, we built a sub-floor drain to allow the water to drain away
For many, an indoor pool is something they’ve always thought about. Swimming is a beloved pastime for lots of people, and for them, being able to swim year-round sounds like a dream come true.
A customer in Whitby, Ontario, has a beautiful indoor pool. They love using it each winter, but water seepage was threatening that enjoyment. The room next to the pool stored the filter, heater and equipment, but water was soaking the entire space each time there was a thaw.
Looking to protect his investment, the client reached out to Clarke Basement Systems and met with System Design Specialist Chris Luke. Chris inspected the pool equipment room and designed a solution to control the water and protect the electronics.
Foreman Mark Dougherty started by digging a small trench along the room's perimeter to catch water seeping in from the floor/wall joint. Mark encapsulated the entire room with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier, separating the moist walls from the rest of the space.
The customer is thrilled that his pool room is protected. He doesn’t have to worry each spring anymore, and his family can continue to use the pool with peace of mind.
