Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement Postpones Reno in Mount Albert, Ontario
We all have grand plans for our homes. It could be selling it for top dollar, building a backyard oasis, or even building a rec room. Whatever it may be, it’s frustrating when something gets in your way.
A customer in Mount Albert, Ontario, was looking to finish his basement soon but was halted after discovering water. He didn’t want to put the work and money into a renovation for it to be ruined, so he reached out to Clarke Basement Systems and met with System Design Specialist Chris Luke.
Chris walked the customer through his options, and he was delighted to learn he could waterproof the basement and still have the means to finish it after.
Foreman Dave Jackson and his crew, Installation Specialists Alan Murphy and Bryan Richards, worked hard installing the system. The walls were encapsulated with ThermalDry® Wall Membrane, stopping wall leaks and insulating the space. A perimeter of WaterGuard® was installed as a drain and was connected with a TripleSafe® Sump System. An UltraSump® Battery Backup and an IceGuard® Discharge Line were added for peace of mind. This keeps water out of the home regardless of freezing temperatures or a power outage.
With his basement dry, the customer is excited to renovate. He hopes to finish the basement soon, and thanks the entire Clarke Basement Systems team for their help.
