Mark had to work carefully while repairing the crack to ensure he didn't damage the plumbing stack
Water was entering through a crack right behind the plumbing stack, making it tricky to initially identify its location
These are some of the personal belongings that were getting wet near the crack
The area was located directly beneath the stairs, making it a great little spot for storing, but a not so great spot for water seepage
Foundations play an integral role in our homes. They are the first step in a complicated building process and carry the weight of our entire house. Foundations are usually built from sturdy materials like concrete or stone, but even the strongest materials can have a weak moment once in a while.
A customer in Ajax, Ontario, learned the hard way that foundations can sometimes leak. A form tie hole turned into a crack in the corner of his basement, and many belongings stored there were found damp or wet.
Frustrated and unsure about what to do, the customer called Clarke Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Chris Luke met with the customer and inspected the basement before Foreman Mark Dougherty installed our FlexiSpan® Crack Repair System. Our system seals the crack from inside out, and in the rare case that water makes it through, a drain is installed.
The customer is thrilled that his basement is dry again. He can safely store his stuff once again, and his investment is protected from future water seepage.
