Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Full Waterproofing System in Udora, ON
Challenge
A home in Udora, Ontario had water coming in from the perimeter of the basement. This was caused by exterior foundation waterproofing that had failed. There was water seeping in from floor wall joint. The basement was finished and customer wanted it to be dry so they could do renovations. They did not want a wet, musty basement and would loose the space if it wasn't permanently fixed.
Solution
The customer called Clarke Basement Systems to fix the problem. Chris Luke and Dave Jackson together as a team came up with a solution that would allow the customer to finish their basement in the future with no water damage to worry about. We installed a full perimeter Waterguard, a Supersump pump that would collect any access water. It would then push it out through the Iceguard discharge line which is protected from cold temperatures. Lastly we installed a Thermal dry wall system to keep any moisture away from the basement. This solved the floor wall joint seepage problem with a Lifetime warranty of 25 years. The customer is happy knowing they can finish their basement and not worry about water damage.
