Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Musty Cold Room Transformed into Clean, Dry Storage Room in Uxbridge, Ontario
Challenge
This cold room in Uxbridge, Ontario was not being vented properly. As a result, the cold room was moist and wet. As we all know, moisture and dampness are a recipe for mold growth that could be damaging to our homes air quality, and directly impacts our health. Not to mention, the nasty smell that comes along with it!
This beautiful, sun filled house had a very open concept feel to it. With that said, they did not have a lot of areas of storage and relied heavily on their cold room to keep the eyesores hidden. Their cold room was about 100 square feet in size but was damp and had some minor leaks needed to be fixed to keep their storage items dry. Installation Design Specialist, Ben Wallis used his expertise to come up with a well suited solution for this cold room.
Solution
Don Clarke and his team installed CBS’s complete cold room makeover solution including our WaterGuard®, BrightWall®, and our in-house ceiling, they are ready to store away their possessions safely without fear of mould or going smelly.
