Water was seeping up through the floor/wall joint and spreading over the floor

The block foundation had shifted, creating an unsafe wall and allowing moisture to seep through
We’re always on the hunt for more space in our homes. It could be a nice living space or even a small storage room, but extra space can be hard to come by either way.
In Bolton, Ontario, a homeowner was hoping to gain some extra space at his home. His basement was almost unusable due to water seepage, and upon further inspection, he noticed his block foundation was also sinking. He decided to call Clarke Basement Systems.
System Design Specialist Ben Wallis met with the client and inspected his home. Ben explained how our PowerBrace® System could stabilize and straighten the walls. Ben also designed a sump pump system to keep the entire basement dry.
Foreman Dave Jackson and his crew, Installation Specialists Alan Murphy and Bryan Richards, started by attaching our PowerBraces® to the floor and ceiling before being secured to provide a tight hold. The walls were encapsulated with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier to provide an airtight seal from exterior moisture. Our WaterGuard® Drain System was installed around the perimeter of the floor as an in-floor drain, and we connected that to our TripleSafe® Sump System. This system includes a SuperSump® Pump with a 1/3 hp motor and an UltraSump® Battery Backup for added peace of mind. Lastly, Dave installed an Aprilaire® Dehumidifier to keep the relative humidity at a healthy 55%.
The customer can’t believe we were able to repair his foundation while also keeping his basement dry. He appreciates the hard work of the entire Clarke Basement Systems team.
