Utilizing all the space in your house is always a goal for homeowners. We rely on the extra space for storage and entertaining, but sometimes issues can stand in the way.
A customer in Fenelon Falls, Ontario, had a beautiful basement in her lakeside bungalow. The basement was finished, but unfortunately, when water seepage hit, it caused severe damage. Much of the drywall, flooring and bathroom had to be removed, and the customer was distraught. She wanted to regain 50% of her home she lost, so she reached out to Clarke Basement Systems.
System Design Specialist Ryan Hanlon met with the customer and inspected her home. He found water seeping through the walls and water was coming up through the floor/wall joints. Ryan showed the customer our proven solution, and a date was set for the repair.
Foreman Lucio Flores and his team worked hard waterproofing the basement. A WaterGuard® Drain System was installed around the basement perimeter to catch any seeping water and guide it to the new TripleSafe® Sump Pump. To both insulate and encapsulate the walls, Lucio installed ThermalDry® Membrane. For added peace of mind, our TripleSafe® system comes with an UltraSump® Battery Backup, and we installed a TrenchDrain® to prevent plumbing issues around the septic system.
The customer couldn’t thank us enough for waterproofing her basement. She’s excited to refinish the space and is thrilled to know her basement will stay dry.
