Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Full Perimeter Waterproofing in Huntsville, ON
Challenge
Homeowner in Huntsville, ON, had just bought their home. To their unpleasant surprise, they had massive flooding in their basement. For every rainfall they had, there was water leaking in their home, causing damage to the floor and walls.
The home has poured concrete foundation walls, which leak due to the tie rod holes from the concrete pour. When the holes aren't sealed properly, water can easily leak into the basement, which is what happened to this homeowner.
Frustrated, the homeowners were very concerned that they had made a huge mistake in buying the home. The homeowners had been referred to Clarke Basement Systems and scheduled an appointment with System Design Specialist, Rob Malcomson, to inspect the house.
Solution
Rob Malcomson attended the home and conducted a thorough inspection. He concluded that to stop water from leaking into the basement, we would permanently waterproof the full perimeter of the basement with our patented products such as WaterGuard®, CleanSpace®, a SuperSump™ Sump Pump and IceGuard® Discharge line.
With a guaranteed plan in place, Installation Foreman, Jose Martinez and his team got to work!
First, they installed our CleanSpace® Wall Membrane on the exterior foundation walls. CleanSpace® is a drainage matting that directs any water to our WaterGuard® perimeter waterproofing system. Next, we supply and install our WaterGuard® waterproofing system into the subfloor perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard® deals with water entering at the floor wall joint and drains to our patented SuperSump™ Sump Pump system. The water is then directed to our patented IceGuard® discharge protection system, which leads water out and away from the customers home.
Once all of our patented waterproofing products were installed, the homeowners were thrilled and reassured that their home is now safe, dry and healthy. They are now ready for any future improvements or plans and can continue renovating their home without having to worry about any further damage or potential hazards.
