Rodents Take Over Stinky Crawl Space in Keswick, Ontario

Rodents are something that no one wants in their home. They carry disease, destroy wiring and wall material, and they’re just a gross animal to have living in your house.

A customer in Keswick, Ontario, had an exposed dirt floor crawl space with a few serious issues. The space allowed moisture to seep up into the home, and worst of all, rats had taken over the unused space. Desperate for a solution, the customer called Clarke Basement Systems.

The client’s worries were quickly put to rest after meeting with System Design Specialist Ben Wallis. Ben inspected the space and designed a system to encapsulate the area and eliminate the odour.

Foreman Lucio Flores started by encapsulating the entire space with CleanSpace® Vapour Barrier, providing an airtight seal between the foundation walls and the crawl space. To remove the water year-round, Lucio installed our TripleSafe® Sump System. This unique system includes our SuperSump® Pump with a 1/3 hp motor, as well as an UltraSump® Battery Backup for added peace of mind.

The customer is thrilled with his new crawl space. His home smells clean and dry, and he doesn’t have to worry about rodents running around beneath the floorboards.
