Crumbling & Leaning Foundation Wall in Whitney, Ontario

The structure of your home is arguably the most critical part. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms don’t matter if there isn’t a strong base to support them.

A customer in Whitney, Ontario, was dealing with a crumbling and leaning foundation. He was concerned that the wall would give way, or worse, that the whole house would collapse. He knew he needed a proven, reliable solution so he decided to reach out to Clarke Basement Systems.

System Design Specialist Chris Luke met with the anxious customer and inspected his home and foundation. Chris put his worries to rest by explaining how our PowerBrace® System could straighten and stabilize his failing foundation. He was eager for the repair to be completed, so he reached out to our Production Department to book a date.

Foreman Dave Jackson and his crew, Installation Specialists Alan Murphy and Bryan Richards, started by using jacks to pressure the foundation wall. Additional jacks were used to push the foundation blocks back into place. Once the wall was straight, we installed the PowerBraces® to stabilize the foundation in position.

The customer is blown away by the work done by Clarke Basement Systems. He can’t believe he didn’t need to replace the entire wall, but he’s thrilled finally having some peace of mind.
