Two Wall Cracks Postpone Basement Renovation in Stouffville, Ontario

Like most home renovations, finishing a basement can unearth some otherwise unknown problems. It's a headache since you have to deal with, but you feel great once the job is done and you know you've done things right.

A customer in Stouffville, Ontario, was in the middle of finishing his basement when he discovered two wall cracks. The contractor recommended he fix the crack before continuing, so there would not be any issues down the road. The customer agreed and reached out to Clarke Basement Systems.

Foreman Mark Dougherty injected our polyurethane sealant into both cracks. More sealant was applied over the cracks, and for added peace of mind, Mark dug two in-floor drains below. These drains act as a failsafe if the cracks get larger or if more water starts leaking into the basement.

The customer can't wait to finish his basement. He's happy he discovered the cracks when he did and is even happier knowing he got it dealt with appropriately.
