One of the first things we typically hear when a customer calls is, “There’s water in my basement, and I don’t know where it came from.” This is usually said in a frantic, anxious tone before we put some of their worries at rest by sending out an inspector.
A customer in Stouffville, Ontario, was in this situation when she decided to call Clarke Basement Systems. She discovered water in her basement but couldn’t pinpoint a location, and was growing more concerned each day.
System Design Specialist Chris Luke was dispatched to the customer’s home to inspect the basement. Chris was able to find where the water was leaking in and showed the customer our FlexiSpan® Crack Repair System. She was thrilled to hear the repair was more affordable than she imagined, and a date was set for the repair.
Foreman Mark Dougherty started the repair by injecting a polyurethane sealant directly into the crack. The exterior was sealed as well, and a drain was installed over top of the entire crack. For added protection, an in-floor drain was also installed to catch any additional leaks down the road.
The customer is ecstatic that her basement is dry. Her worries are gone, and she has a proven system with a warranty.
