Water Seepage Leads to Wet Feet in Laundry Room in Peterborough, Ontario

Not many people enjoy doing laundry, but it’s something we all have to do. When something makes this annoying task even harder, it can be quite frustrating.

A customer in Peterborough, Ontario, was dealing with water seepage in their laundry room. They would soak their feet every time they used the space, leading to even more laundry to do. Ready for a change, they decided to reach out to Clarke Basement Systems.

System Design Specialist Chris Luke met with the homeowner and inspected the basement. He showed the customer several spots where water was leaking, and a date was set for the repair.

Foreman Lucio Flores started the repair by encapsulating the laundry room with ThermalDry® Wall Membrane, stopping moisture from the walls and insulating the space. Our WaterGuard® Drain System was installed along the perimeter and connected to a SuperSump® Sump Pump. An IceGuard® Discharge Line was installed to prevent freezing, and a MoistureLoc® Dehumidifier was used to keep the relative humidity below 55%.

The customer is thrilled about the work done. He’s looking forward to staying dry while doing laundry and appreciates the service from Lucio and Chris.
