Customer Mistakes Wall Crack for Leaking Tub in Brooklin, Ontario

Sometimes we think we know what’s going on with our home only to be wrong. It happens, and that’s why we call in the professionals.

A customer in Brooklin, Ontario, had just this problem when he found water in his basement. The water was beneath the laundry tub, so he figured that the tub was leaking. It wasn’t until further inspection that he discovered a large crack behind the sink. He thought about patching it himself but decided to give Clarke Basement Systems a call instead.

System Design Specialist Chris Luke met the customer and inspected the home. The customer was impressed with our repair method, and a date was set for the repair.

Foreman Mark Dougherty used polyurethane to seal the interior and exterior of the crack. An in-floor drain was dug to prevent any new cracks from leaking onto the floor, and an additional drain was installed on top of the sealant.

The customer can’t wait to do his laundry in a dry environment. He’s thrilled that the crack is sealed and is happy he decided to go with us rather than doing it himself.
