Spring Thaw Floods Basement in Peterborough, ON

Spring thawing is both good and bad. Good being that the warmer months are on their way, but the lousy portion is that the amounts of snow thawing can lead to flooding. In this case, Diana from Peterborough, Ontario, had experienced a ton of snow thaw that started to leak in her basement. Diana had removed food and furniture, and Clarke Basement Systems was called for a professional opinion. Our System Design Specialist, Ryan Hanlon, made his way to the home and began quoting the materials. 

• The first product that was discussed was our SuperSump® sump pump. This pump has a battery backup attached to it, so it keeps working the same when the power goes out.
• The next products were our CleanSpace® and ThermalDry™ wall insulation. These products work alongside to keep water out and reflect the heat inside the basement bringing energy bills low. 
• Last, our IceGuard® was included. This ensures that the pipes will never freeze in the colder months and allow better water discharge. Ryan wanted to ensure he covered all bases in his quoting process. 

At a later date, our installation team started the work. Finally, our veteran installer, Lucio Flores and his experienced team began installing the products efficiently. Diana was amazed by the work and wanted us to continue her annual maintenance.
