Waterproofing Cold Room Makeover in Oshawa, ON

A couple in Oshawa, ON, had a beautifully finished basement, but their cold room was left undone, making it an eyesore. System Design Specialist Ryan Hanlon created a well-suited solution for the cold room that would effectively encapsulate, waterproof, and improve the look of the space to match the rest of the basement.

Installation was completed by Owner and Foreman Don Clarke, starting with insulating the exterior walls and ceiling with our CleanSpace® vapour barrier membrane to stop moisture intrusion. Next, Don and the crew placed a white vinyl, adding protection and brightness to the space. Lastly, the team placed our FloorRail drainage system that led to our SmartDrain®.

The cold room is now looking better than ever, and homeowners can store items effectively without worrying about moisture damaging their things.
