Food Truck at The Office

Falling leaves adorn the Clarke Basement Systems headquarters, painting a beautiful autumn picture. The air is crisp, and fall is in full force. Don Clarke, our owner, knows how hard everyone has worked this past summer and wants to surprise his staff with a warm meal. The Pimento Jerk Jamaican BBQ truck pulled in, and all our employees' faces lit up. This food truck is well known amongst Markham, ON natives, so the word travels fast about how tasty the food is! Our office staff, production crews, and sales teams operate at different times, so everyone trickled in between 2-6 PM. Many people in the company have never met, so it was an excellent opportunity for departments to mingle and for people to put names to faces. Since Covid-19, events like this had to be put on hold so we wouldn't spread the deadly virus. Now that things have improved with the virus in Ontario, it made it much more special that we could unite the company once again and share a meal. The jerk chicken poutine seemed to be the fan favourite, but that may be the author's biased opinion! Other options on the menu included wraps, salads, and rice with either jerk chicken, BBQ fried chicken or BBQ jackfruit! The event was a huge success, we had many laughs, and all our bellies were full. Now that we have had time to recharge, back to work we go!
